My Favorite Books of All-Time

It would be nice to have an even list of top ten or top five but I don't.  So there! :)  These are in order of just how much I really love them (which is a lot! for all of them.)  The last two are childhood favorites which I still love to re-read from time to time.  While life is far too short to read a bad book, there's always time to re-read a beloved book.
  1. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
  2. The Stand by Stephen King
  3. Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese
  4. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  5. Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
  6. Gospel  by Wilton Barnhardt
  7. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
  8. The Mysterious Disappearance of Leon (I Mean Noel) by Ellen Raskin
